Quirky old meets stylish new…
1 April 2019
The refurbishment at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel continues apace. The stunning new lounge area is now completed and provides the perfect backdrop to the gallery showcasing creations and artwork from local artists. While away the time, as the images take you back with a visual history of the Brighton and Hove area; the longer you linger, the more you’ll see.
Take a break and catch your breath, enjoying a drink, and relax in the comfortable new seating, whilst you admire the artwork. Indulge in a little ‘me’ time and soak up the feel of this seafront hotel brimming with history.
The colours bring back the regency style of the hotel, formerly known as ‘The Norfolk’, and this decadent style continues throughout the newly refurbished areas. Warm blue colours mirror the feel of the sea on a summer’s day.
The atmospheric majestic staircase will lead you up to where three floors of bedrooms have now been completed. Relax in rooms brimming with charm, celebrating the quirky history of the surrounding area. Comfortable beds, and rustic effect furnishings come together to celebrate the old and new. The refurbished bathrooms provide a nod to the era, whilst modern finishes bring all the creature comforts for a memorable stay.
Take time to simply relax and admire the work that’s gone into bringing the hotel back to its former style, whilst we provide you with the service you would expect.
The refurbishment now enters its last phase with just the finishing touches to the bar; the new restaurant, and final bedrooms to come. We’ll keep you posted with images and progress updates.
Spend a little time to see for yourself the magnificent refurbishment, and appreciate the style of quirky old and new. A warm personal welcome always awaits at this classic seafront hotel.
